I See Right Through You

I see it all, Even the tiny things, I read you so well, Too well, I feel things before I know them to be true, A sixth sense, I understand more than I say I do. You think you have fooled me? You lie to yourself, Nobody else, I see right through you, I know when you lie, I don't understand why you even try.

Not Clones

We are not all the same, That's what makes everything so sublime, That isn't just great, It's an amazing thing, We are happy doing our own thing. That's okay, We never wanted to be clones, Happy being alone. We walk a troubled road, We know we are different, That makes our wild souls grow.

Walked In

You walked in, After everyone else had walked out, Made me realise why nobody else had been right.

Sane

No two days are the same, One day I piece myself back together, Glue all the jagged edges back once more, Smooth it all out one last time, It is tiring if I dare say so. A never ending story of self-belief, I try again, I refuse to weep. The next day comes, Here I am again tearing myself apart, One chip at a time, That's how it always starts. Never happy for too long, Trying my best to start again, Never constantly sane, These are my two lanes, Veering one way then the next minute a different road, Constantly changing my way, Never sure which way to go.

Morals

As the years trudge on, You realise what is important in your life, You understand what means something to you. It's not the money or the possessions, Nor the shiny jewellery, The fake friendships that so nothing for you, Except erode your soul. Life is about integrity, Never ending morals, Loyalty from friends who refuse to let people talk dirt behind your back, Instead they do it to your face, Always with a laugh, Nothing bad about that. These are things that cannot be purchased, They are earned, Slowly yet surely, When they are sacrificed, We know we have been burned, Trust has been incinerated, No place left to turn. Life is a learning curve, Without failure we cannot know success, Without hard work we will never comprehend the struggle, At last happy with the winning outcome, We have earned this win, We see the battle scars from within. Failure is experience turned inside out, We must fail to eventually succe...

Hope

Don't give up hope, As long as you have that, It will never be submerged, It finds a way to buoy your heart, Makes you float, Gives you wings, When all else has gone, Hope wins.

Ramblings

Ramblings of a lunatic, Or is that a poetic mind? What pops into the brain, Maybe that's where it should forever reside? Not be let out ever again? Keep it framed in the mind’s eye. Instead I write these words, Put my heart on a plate for you, You eat it cold, Sometimes nothing at all, No mystique it has all gone. Should these thoughts be forgotten, Before they all fall, Are they too raw? Who knows? All I understand is I need to write them down, Before they all run riot within my head, I don't want to lose them there.
