As the years trudge on,
You realise what is important in
your life,
You understand what means
something to you.
It's not the money or the
possessions,
Nor the shiny jewellery,
The fake friendships that so
nothing for you,
Except erode your soul.
Life is about integrity,
Never ending morals,
Loyalty from friends who refuse
to let people talk dirt behind your back,
Instead they do it to your face,
Always with a laugh,
Nothing bad about that.
These are things that cannot be
purchased,
They are earned,
Slowly yet surely,
When they are sacrificed,
We know we have been burned,
Trust has been incinerated,
No place left to turn.
Life is a learning curve,
Without failure we cannot know
success,
Without hard work we will never
comprehend the struggle,
At last happy with the winning
outcome,
We have earned this win,
We see the battle scars from
within.
Failure is experience turned
inside out,
We must fail to eventually
succeed,
At least we know we have always
tried,
Or we shall die trying,
This has always been our mantra,
We always succeed.
For we pick people with morals
over everything,
We know that when the flames
come for us,
They will be right there waiting
to save our bodies and our souls.
This means more than all the
flash cash,
All the fast cars,
This is the true meaning of
life.
Life should not have to mean
strife,
All you can so is live your
life,
Don't lose sight of what is
right,
Look inside.
Understand all that glitters is
not necessarily gold,
Dig deep,
Try your best to find more.
