Let me Go

Psychological issues
Ones I could not help
It was The honest truth
I never did love you
At one point in time I thought I did,
But you showed signs of phen
I knew we were too similar
It would never work
I decided to drop the hell out.
You were a dreamer, I was a realist,
This was the truth, I did care for you,
Once upon a time, Just not now,
That is no more. I didn't mean to break your heart,
But this is life, That's how things go,It's all a learning curve,
Learn as you go. You took it too much to heart,
Look at it like this...I set you free,
So you should thank me,
Maybe it's finally time to let things go?
Set me free, Forgive me?

Mommy Loves You

The love I feel for you all, Will never run out, So never despair, It is in my heart, Distilled especially for you, True love, Beyond compare, No need to share, There is enough already there. You have all heard my heart beat from in there, Oh how I love you and your beautiful stares, Mommy loves you, Know that love shall never fail.

Scotch Tape

Our hearts are no longer kept on our sleeves, Those have all disappeared. Now we have taped our heart back together again, Scotch tape stuck best, What is left? We are a crumbly mess. Every morning we stare in the mirror, Hate what we see, But what should we be doing in reality? Applauding, Celebrating, We have survived, We are still alive, Fuck me! We are warriors of the toughest kind. © 2019 MK AC Nevin-Crooks Love Life Poetry
