Twenty Four Hours

You look for what you know

You see what you want to see

You hear what your mind searches for

They all show you for what you are

If you stare at the bad

That's what you shall get

It appears everywhere

If you choose to search for the light

For the happiness

For the laughter

The kindness

Then that is what miraculously appears

Make an effort to look for the good

Whether its good or bad

Its up to you how you choose to spend your days

We all have the same twenty four hours

It’s the quietness that gets to me, I know it shrieks the truth, Every situation is replayed a thousand times within my head, If Ive made a mistake, It chills me to the bone, Gnaws at my brain, Makes me feel a little less happy at home. The darkness frightens me, For it allows me to have crystal clear clarity, Every wrong step, I now know the way, Too late for me, I have lost my way. Through all the broken pieces that make up my life, I see haphazardly, A kaleidoscope of whirlwinds, And still... I always see you. Stars

It's all the little things, That make us who we are, Taking comfort in the sea, Staring at the stars, Long conversations after midnight, Coffee at all hours. We crave laughter that sings in our souls, These are the things that enthral our lives, Ignites our hearts, Our dreams shoot to the stars and back, Makes us understand what life is all about.

Brain

If you have shoes on your feet, Food in your stomach, A roof over your head, Love in your heart, A brain in your head, You are luckier than most. Don't lose hope, You can choose which direction you go, Even if it feels wrong, When you fall, Pick yourself back up off the floor, You know the correct way to go.
