Time has been unkind to you,
Especially to your face,
your body and your mind,
You try to lose yourself,
But you constantly see the signs.

The wrinkles grow deeper,
The body is weaker,
Your mind wants to go to sleep,
With age you grow meeker.

It's all the little things, That make us who we are, Taking comfort in the sea, Staring at the stars, Long conversations after midnight, Coffee at all hours. We crave laughter that sings in our souls, These are the things that enthral our lives, Ignites our hearts, Our dreams shoot to the stars and back, Makes us understand what life is all about.

If you have shoes on your feet, Food in your stomach, A roof over your head, Love in your heart, A brain in your head, You are luckier than most. Don't lose hope, You can choose which direction you go, Even if it feels wrong, When you fall, Pick yourself back up off the floor, You know the correct way to go.
